You can also go into the JAWS Settings Center and configure the insert key to work as a sticky key. That way, it can be pressed by itself first and then whatever other keys are in the command. I had mine set this way and find it much easier. It works for both insert keys. HTH. Rebecca

The quick answer to revealing file extensions is to press right arrow on the file your cursor is on and JAWS will tell you the file type--Word document, text document, etc. I never, with this information, needed to turn on hidden file extensions. But if you still want it, with your documents
