I have hopes that one day we'll do away with checkin mailing lists and
use feeds instead, but an external service like the above is an
interesting step in that direction.
you absolutely must use "make install" from a checkout (perhaps
because you want to install the trunk somewhere), then you can make a
TGZ first using zpkg.
That's a possible work-around, but doesn't seem like a good reason to
leave "make install" broken.

Same here. I consider them monumentally useless. Moving them
elsewhere makes it easier to see what's important

I was about to fix this with a ReNormalizer instead of ellipses (while
removing the original ellipsis also). If you feel like it you could do
it that way instead.
