For that matter, this doesn't exist in Change Management as far as I know
either. I'm considering building a small custom app with an escalation that
runs on its own thread to do this at some point when my work load decreases
(hah!) because we have scheduled releases, server OS patches, etc.

There are some other things that are locked down that we did customize to allow
them to do, such as creating relationships to other records, but things like
Tasks, Summary, Notes, etc. should not be changed when it's already on the

While much of what you say makes sense, I have to ask what the logic is in
preventing people from being on a Change Request and relating other requests to
it. It works the other way around, but for example if your Change Request is
part of a larger effort (not necessarily a release
this (annoying) message. Our browser it highly managed and I really
don't want to have to include our desktop team in order to update to SP2. I am
not going to put SP2 in production without getting rid of this message though.

We're already using SRM to some degree so MyIT makes a lot of sense for us. In
your situation though, I don't see the harm in having MyIT installed but
unused. It doesn't seem to take up that much space and resources, sort of like
that purchasing functionality in Asset Management
Doesn’t that bump up against the limitation of not being directly tied into
Asset Management though? My understanding is that I could export the AM data
to import into MyIT but it would have to be maintained separately to keep MyIT
up to date if a printer is added or removed. That doesn’t

you still have to use the PDIREPO_server_port connections in some way. After
opening the one for the same server as my custom

I'd like to chime in on this. I'm by no means an expert, but I've had a lot of
hands on experience with the last two versions of Smart IT and this current
version is going to be what we go live with. However, I have a few
