That's one good tool which is my current personal choice too - although
SoapSonar works just as well. Personally, I prefer soapUI for the more simpler
interface.
You could also used ActionalDiagonistics which I hear is good from one of my
BizTalk colleagues.

Unless you are on 7.5 where you can disable the Status History on a form
property.
In version 7.5, the AR System doesn't care if the status history table is not
populated. BMC is probably working in the direction to depricate that option
which frankly in my opinion does not serve much value..
It might be in one of the views or if not in any might be one of the fields
that
is not in any view.. Check the Fields in View option and look for fields that
are not in view, and you should see it in that list.. If the field was not
present at all then the error you would get would be
