I have to admit, I don't even know the number unless the site is up. I now get some response from Viviotech.net, but its been giving a BD error for about the past 10 minutes...which I guess is progress from no response at all. Still no response from my site or my email :( Yeah, my site is

Regardless of the value of such awards (and no offense to any recipients or nominees) such a popularity contest is always useful in one way or another. And that's my issue with itall it was was a popularity contest. Nominees would win on name recognition alone, had nothing whatsoever to do

Rick, If you don't mind my asking, where are you getting a Win2003/CF8 VPS for $70/month? That seems pretty low to me. That's indeed a very good price from what I have seen, and it certainly sounds like the best option versus shared hosting. I just wish there were more companies offering

I don't see what difference it would make to them. More of a drain on the system to run 20 databases with 10 tables each than one database with 200 tables??? Well, I think the issue with Access being free while additional MySQL databases are not could be even more of an issue. Ever seen a site

But I maintain the databases myself using Navicat. They still would probably have to set up the database though, I doubt you would ever have root access on a shared server! I don't see what they would have to do anything, unless it's permissions setting or something. A one-time setup fee, if

So I don't have to worry about clients working directly with any of the technology or software running their sites. If that's the case, you may prefer to just not have Plesk on the server. It's a bit of a resource hog, and really, the biggest reason to have it is if you have multiple clients

Ooh, and it'll be nice to be able to remove it! I think I'm gonna like VPS... Well, with Plesk it's something you either install with the VPS or not...it's not something easily removed afterwards. Just ask AHP when you order your VPS not to put it on there, and see what other control panels

it with current UPS rates. You might be able to import them with a bit of effort but they still wouldn't calculate properly without rewriting the tag as well. All current CFWebstore installations (v.5.x and higher) can use code that taps into the UPS API to retrieve rates instead. Mary Jo

Same here. I use viviotech vps and they are great at responding to support tickets and keep on top of other support related issues that come up in their forums. I used them for a short time myself but dropped them due to the lack of proper infrastructure/generator backup. I understand they are

Does AHP have a generator system in place? I could not find anything about their infrastructure on their site. Yes, their servers are all colocated at Internap which is the same facility that houses Adobe, TimeWarner, and other large sites. Their generators can keep the servers up for at

How do people prevent the same user from logging into an application with the same userid from multiple machines? We have users who are sharing their IDs which is causing application failures with the concurrent sessions. There's an undocumented function you can use to check for existing
