I would recommend that you 'unmerge' qmail and related packages on your system
and follow www.lifewithqmail.org. Once you have an LWQ setup, you can easily
add vpopmail and courier-imap on top of it, and, since you've actually done
the install yourself, rather than letting a package management

Yah. One of my quick hacks pondered using vdelivermail as an MTA from
postfix but it calls in too much qmail environment and it got icky. If I
could have put that stuff on the command line instead I might have been in
business without having to put in a wrapper.
