a sun sparcstation IPC. (25mhz) The only advantage to using solaris
is you don't have to go through all the hoops to get a native jdk. :)

Bind 9 is much more strict about config files. When i switched from 8
to 9, I had one subtle syntax error (well it was valid in 8) that
caused me a great deal of grief. You might want to look at the DNS and
Bind cookbook by O'Reilly and compare your dns entries.

faster than firewire 400 which is what most pcs have. Apple just

I would suggest C before C++. I took a C class after tring C++ on my own.
I tought C++ was newer and better. Actually I found it was only newer. It
has new features and such, just not better because it was an extension or
expansion to C. I don't use C++ so I am sure there are those that
K R is a good book.
For C++, Absolute C++ was my textbook last semester and I found it to be
pretty good. Avoid the Deitel Deitel C++ book. It has a few good
reference chapters but covers material in a very choppy way. Practical C++
programming from O'Reilley is a good book on C++ basics.

make no sense to them. Assembly *can be* fast but its not portable.

to start with. If all the gnome and X11 related stuff appears to be
upgraded, it might be hard to track down which build was at fault. I think

I have had good luck with uw-imap and dovecot. Dovecot seems to work better
in FreeBSD 5.21 though. I had problems with uw-imap crashing. Dovecot is

I have been trying to compile Mime Defang from the
ports collection for about a week now.
I cvsup'd the other day to upgrade sendmail to the
latest (8.12.8?) after that vulnerability. I have
SASL2 compiled in with it (used ports collection).
Here is the error message that I keep getting

Specifically I want to delete .exe, .scr, and .bat files as they enter

Don't worry about recompiling everything right away. Gnome takes a long
time to compile! The cpu type does seem to help multimedia apps and WMs if
they were designed to take advantage of the extra instructions.

you register your multihomed capacity on a list. Otherwise traffic won't
know to come in on a particular interface or that it can go either way. I
must admit I'm going from memory here. I used to work at an ISP about 5
with the outcome and the ports
that need updating.
