Hello
The message means that Gimp's jpeg plug-in is complied with a older version
of the jpeg library (6.1 i think). The easiest solution is that you
download the src package of Gimp 1.0.2 and extract the jpeg src file. I
think it's only one c file and you should be able to recompile it with

Hello
Please use gimptool to build the plugin additional information (a
whole chapter) about compiling can also be found in the Gimp Users Manual
manual.gimp.org.
To build a plugin with gimptool simply do gimptool --build plug-in.c .
NOTE that this only work with one c source file.

Hello Sven
This is Karins vote.
She I think circle restricts is the best. It gives you a better control
of what you are doing and it simply feels better. She would also love if
you could make it snap to guide as I suggested in my mail yesterday.

Hello Folks
Yes, as Sven points out we can include GtkXmHtml and we can make a wiser
configure script.
The other part is that I just don't want to spend my free time to make a
help system that is not a part of std Gimp. I mean it's totally idiotic to

I know that a lot of people has worked hard, me my self included. The
discussion is not about disrespect. Trust me I respect you and other
hard working people 100%, but I also respect a user demanding a good UI to
work within.

Hello
Selections are the most important tool in image manipulations. The key in
Gimp is to select and so something with the selection.
THATS why it's very important to be able to transform selections. Rotate,
shear, (i.e use the transform tool) on the selection it self.

Quite right "stop" is not a good solution. There are as Sven says several

Well "feature" freeze is a wide term. Currently only Gimp (app and lib) is

The help system is now added to the current cvs version of Gimp. This
