(commercial product photography for catalogs) Beziers were a way of life.

Select a brush and the color that you want to draw. (foreground color)
Then right mouse click on the image and choose...
edit > stroke
This should get you what you're looking for!

I don't know if you'll be able to get the images to match at all on the
edges. Distortion might be too great. You may need some overlap to get
things to look nice.

Always check the RGB levels when you are preparing to print. My guess is
that they are less than 255,255,255(max white).
If your background level is indeed 255,255,255 then your printer is not
calibrated correctly.

I agree with the cursors. I would like cursors simmilar to photoshop's
"precice" cursors. Cross hairs for tools like crop and marquee and actual
brus sizes and shapes for brushes.

save exactly waht you "see on screen" you could do a screengrab and then
save that.

Try the Plazma plugin on a blank layer, desaturate it and adjust the
transparency. Erase the areas where you don't want smoke.

One way to swap out color is to use select>by color to select
all the color you want to replace and then edit>fill with FG color to fill
the selected area with the foreground color.
