Just a note - decide, if you need the complete map (with all the details > standard map) or just the road map for car navigation. For car navigation, the road map of the complete country might be enough and OsmAnd would probably work faster with the stripped-down data. If you are going to

Re: How do I get rid of the flags

2019-04-11 Thread Majka
The problem is that you are mixing two different things here: You are looking for "Favoris" but working with "Marqueurs". Favourites have no history tab and have another intended use from the flags - to permanently mark a point on the map. The flags are meant to work as temporary marking (when

Just a note - you can backup the complete Osmand data folder or just a parts of it. Doing it before reinstallation is a good idea. Regular backup of the track folder is another one. Just a copy in some other folder on the device, ideally on different memory, is enough. Additionally, usually

Are you sure the surface is in the data (meaning mapped)? If the surface is in OSM (not many roads have this), you can display it on the map as well as in details of the calculated route. But just an example in my town, from random route: distance 4,6 km, surface asphalt 2,33 km, unknown 2,41

For bicycle, there is similar rule - the principle is the same, it just uses different values. Of course, the differences are here much bigger (easy ride x race). But as a rule of the thumb, I would suggest something around speed 20 km/h and 800 vertical meter / h for "faster" and 15 km/h and
