Otherwise, v1.4rc worked fine.
BTW, in “fake it” split mode, my radio says it switches +500kc on tx. Is this
normal? Normally, I use “none” so had not noticed this before.

Thanks Mike. Manual not real clear about what “fake it” actually does. I assume
the tx shifting is coordinated to match the 1000Hz mark in Fox/Hound mode. Or,
is “fake it” not appropriate for that mode? Did not get to a Fox anytime during

Current usage looks like a single channel would serve for both JT65 and JT9.
The JT9 channels, as the least used, could then be used for DX and Fox/Hound

If so, maybe WSJTx should only do the tx5 message atuomatically when it is not
set to the default .

A nice new feature for WSJTx might be to not reset the custom (tx5) message (to
CS 73) for a QSO and instead skip, or end with, tx5 depending on the message
content, i.e. a blank (or *** say) in the window would mean skip - it might
even make sense to make the skip message the default.

sent.
BTW, in testing this on 4 QSO’s, all 4 of my QSO partners sent multiple
RRR/RR73’s (after not getting a 73 from me).

WSJTx log without having to remember where
it is, when you don’t have your radio on. Why can not WSJTx stay open running
in standby like any other normal program when no radio is connected?

Forgot to say radio does not turn off, if on, when WSJTx is closed.

No. That box is unchecked in my setup.

Saw the same thing yesterday - about 3 times. Got an error box behind windows
for second. Said JT9.exe Killed by name return call - or similar.
Happened only during FT4 and when things were pretty busy. Nothing last couple
hours of this morning. Running Win10-64 latest.

If you mouse over the Tx message # boxes (in 2.5 anyway), an info message will
appear. For Tx4, it tells you how to set the Tx4 message to either RR73 or RRR.
If you set it for RRR, the auto-sequence will move to Tx5 which has a default
of 73. If you set it for RR73, it will skip Tx5 and go to T
I was just about to report this too - I use WSJTx in Windows. Glad the
change/bug has been caught and will be fixed.
FWIW, I have WSJTx opening on an “expanded desktop” (21”) monitor attached to
my (17”) laptop. WSJTx does remember the previous left side positioning, but
not the last set width,

appear to be a 2.5.2 (maybe CAT hamlib) problem. Of course, now I have the main
window not remembering its previous size problem, which is fixed in 2.5.2 - for
me at least.

Maybe a separate X6100 driver setup with default 19200 port speed, handshake
and mode should be added to HamLib. Probably, the DTS/DTR = high and Mode = Rig
not working should be further investigated also.
