As far as I can tell the modem port is always the left serial port, the
printer the right. On vertical cases the modem port is the lower one,
the printer the upper one.

and there is usually one that fits the Torx
screws on an Apple case, at least until you can buy a bit for it. I have
taken apart SE/30s (completely) and my 840av with hext keys, I don't own
any Torx kit at all.

but you can not boot
from it as the ROM in a 68k Mac is not set up to recognise it at boot. I
know because I use it on my Quadra.

Visit Flat Pack
the Appearance CP for the 'Copland' widgets. It works very well under
earlier versions of Mac OS however an gets rid of that, IMHO ugly on
colour machines, white menu bar.

this but, as my site says, YMMV.
As for giving options, you can give options all you like but it doesn't
mean someone will like yours ;)

disk now and will still
have a 9GB (10,000rpm) drive when it migrates to my PowerMac so 8.1 is
useful for something. After all I have to put all my AV stuff somewhere
while I record it. 7.6.1 would be my preference but HFS+ is critical for
volumes bigger than 3GB.
