DLinks POE kits take 5 volts, bump it up to 48 across the wire and
drop it back down to 5 volts at the other end. They list for about
$25, so I wouldn't think it should cost you too much to do.

One thing I will not add:
Switching 110/220AC. This would add many requirements for testing and
considerable legal liability.
The price should be under $100 each.

Nice! But, $299?!? Just a little higher price that we want when we
plan to install quite a few of them.

Hi all.
I'm looking for an IP based remote reboot or relay controller.
It must be small, controlled via http or telnet, and be able to turn a
relay off or on remotely
Oh, before I forget, cheap, too!
Any ideas?

can live with switching AC, I'd much prefer a simple set of
relay contacts.
If I have to build my own, I will.
But I was hoping someone had already done it...

Yes, it is. Just like loosing your cell phone number was a real
deterrent to changing cell carriers.
Anyone remember what the FCC imposed as an answer to that?

We don't limit our users unless they become hogs.
Tracking shows mostly web surfing, E-mail and FTP. I have very little
peer to peer traffic.

Well, our rates are quite a bit lower than that.
Around here, we get $59.95 for a standard business connection, $39.95
for a standard residential connection. Special requirements can raise
these prices. I have one customer paying $200 month for 128k. He was
paying $400/month for ISDN.
We
giving customers the bandwidth i
give them. I do monitor it closely, more so to keep stress off my AP's. Damn
kids and there P2P Programs.
