power-cycled the K3. In CONFIG:TX DVR, I set it to IND. Holding the
CMP/PWR gives me the usual monitor tone [I'm on CW] adjustable by the
knob. Holding it a second time turns the tone off but leaves the MON 60
n the display.

Hi,
I'm planning to activate Little Bald Mtn [CA - SOTA W6/SN-046] this weekend.
PlanA: Sat 16 Oct 2010 1700Z to ~2000Z. 14.061 for the first couple
of hours, 10.116 for the last hour. I'll try to post to QRPSpots.com
with my phone but I don't know if I'll have service, and I'm not certain
With all the posts about what doesn't work, or doesn't seem to work, I
thought I'd make a short post on what did work. I took my K2, a

Has there been any thought about possibly providing DC

Maybe not Ron. This was happening to me, on my K2, K3, and TS-850 when
I still had it. The problem turned out to be a bad connection where the
feedline was connected to the radiator. It didn't happen all the time,
but when it did, a short burst of RF seemed to complete the connection.
If possible I'd like to slip a non-APF item into the stream:
I'm looking for a reference on how to *use* the NB and NR functions.
I've read the archive stuff about how they work, but I'm still not
able to get much benefit from either one, and Amazon doesn't seem to
carry K3 NB/NR For Dummies.
