Sounds bad – not sure that I would do extractions…the stomatitis is at the back
of the mouth up down. I can’t even guarantee that I could give Sox the pain
killers when needed – he is extremely hyper and sensitive, very scared of
strangers….poor cat! He’s pretty good with us now, but when I

1) pulling the teeth (seems to work well)
2) Oral dexamethasone (some folks have good luck with that - made my
kitty cough a little but helped somewhat)
3) Monthly Demo (steroid) shot - nice but if it gets too frequent,

help with the stomatitis. I'm using Liquid DMG and Transfer Factor on
my cat. My homeopathic vet, like yours, tends to feel good about the

Not the stomatitis itself, however, cats with severe stomatitis could die
from not eating, it the mouth lesions make it too painful to eat. Likewise,
cats with untreated stomatitis could also get secondary oral bacterial
infections which could in theory go systematic and be deadly.
