You will need to edit those tempo markings to play at a different tempo
or edit them so they don't affect playback or delete those markings.

On the other hand, if you want to hear only the trumpet pitch, have the
audio playback through the VST and simply turn the volume down on your
midi keyboard.
If you're not using a midi keyboard for entry, then kindly disregard
