Okay here's what I do on MYL TS 16:RTTS is simple, home screen has play next appearence at top left, by default. Upgrades is one down/to the right, so if you just do that constantly for a pitcher, it'll be fine once you make your guy, you can edit the name and such later after you make them. Pitching is easy if you have it set to button, just release the stick before throwing a pitch and it'll  go back to over the middle of the plate, then move the stick and hold the button down, and listen, I just usually hammer circle or first base though I had a weirdly epic play earlierWas pitching against the Rangers and got a ground ball hit up the middle, I heard the crew say I missed it and was thinking oh shit error...then I heard them say what happened, turns out my 2Bp pulled off a triple play by some magic. I dunno either, but that was amazingly fantastic. I need more bases loaded jams to get out of apparently..Either way it's easy, once you're done with upgrades, don'hit R1 and L1 to go to the next screen then straight bak, hit X to play next appearence, and X to confirm it, there'll be a cracking sound or the sound of the bat hitting the ball, hit X when ya hear that, cue loading screen.Caveat: This is for MLB 16

Yes, pitching RTTS here, I'm on my 5th season (of a new career) with the A's, and as long as I ain't batting and remember where the pitches end up and the menu layoutsit's fine. Just gotta remember to upgrade everything after each game.Also, how bout those Dodgers obliterating yo Cubbies in the NL playofs huh? Rofl

I really wouldn't be surprised if this sight was forcibly taken down by either X10 hosting or by someone else. I'm not sure if this forum constitutes "Offensive Content" or not (on their AUP at https://x10hosting.com/legal/acceptable-use-policy). I didn't find anything about it in their TOS (https://x10hosting.com/legal/terms-of-service), but I just skimmed it. One of their definitions of "offensive content" is content that "Is excessively violent, incites violence, threatens violence, or contains harassing content or hate speech."Legal shit aside though, I'm honestly amazed that Katie/Eliza dared to do this. She knows her reputation and how bad it is. What's even worse is that she tried this in a group that I am an admin in (it really is quite tranquil, I haven't had to use my admin powers in over 4 months and it has over 200 people). Or she tried something similar to this "Steve Jobs" shit she still goes on and on and on about. I think I'm thinking of another group. I really can't remember . Anyway, she created a second Skype account, used the /secondary switch to load another instance of it, and tried to act like Steve Jobs. Even after I was forced to post exactly how Steve Jobs died (from his Wikipedia article) because she wouldn't just admit who she really was, she still continued on and on about it. I really didn't want to post that -- it's so sad, and I was originally hoping I wouldn't have to -- but I was forced to, primarily in the hopes that it would jolt her out of this obsession of hers. Unfortunately it didn't work. In fact, she wished death to befall me on October 21. She also threatened to release my mailing address and phone number... though I saw right through that. Oh... this part of it was actually kinda funny. She said that my brain was "nonexistent", and I replied with, "I am me. I think, therefore I am." That part was actually quite hilarious. I'd release the chat log, but I don't want to cross the boundaries of character assassination... though I do admit that she probably does deserve it.

searching for a specific kind of tool, does something like that exist?

Hi everyone.Due to the fact that I am more and more getting into audio production and the like, I am searching for a specific tool.I have quite a lot of sounds around and i need a tool for fast reviewing them. To put it into an example, I open a folder with the tool so I can quickly skim through the sounds, hearing them as I go through the folder so I don't need to open every file with VLC or another player.I know that studio recorder had that feature for wav files, but the problem is that quite a lot of sounds are MP3, flag and so on.So, is there a tool supporting those file types for quickly reviewing sound? Or is there another possibility on how I quickly can find matching effects?Greetings Moritz.

Hey everyone  I have just been thinking since I recently started getting back into music That I have not come across a massive group of blind musicians communicating and interacting with each other under one massive hub To explain what I mean John wants to compose a track and has the drums and percussion is that he is desiring to have on his Song but can't play the instruments and sounds that he requires for his track He jumps into the community chat and asks if anyone can play the violin guitar piano or bass 4 different musicians step up and are willing to Calab on a track or project They start sending each other ideas that they have composed from different parts of the world sharing their talents and ideas with each other As it doesn't matter what genre of music they are into as music is global and takes influences from all genres As musicians and producer sometimes we get a block when it comes to composing or producing ideas and tracks Imagine you can jump online and click on the community to find different artists all around the world chopping little ideas that they have made on to the site and sharing it  And seeing people take your ideas and composing some random stuff you would never ever think you would do with it As we all know blind musicians are very talented and play a whole range of instruments Why not have a place where they can network and socialise on together If so Chiplay six this please direct me in the vicinity where it is located If not is anyone interested in starting up the network

You don't have to start cutting as soon as you hear the first tone. That is just the starting point which in turn triggers a tone. This will also happen when you do a cut, the arch will reset to it's starting point and trigger a sound, which again you don't have to cut. You can simply sit there and gather a Rhythm or counting if you prefer of when the time to cut comes around. So for example, you pay 200 gold and you hear a tone. Sit there and listen to it go around for a few times and be ready to take your first cut. Once you perform your first cut it will sound like a double tone because the arch is resetting, but you can again sit there and get the timing, letting it go around a few times. Repeat this until you have all 3 cuts. If you are still having trouble picturing it, it's like you are looking at a giant wheel on it's side with a semi circleular arch hump on  it. You have a button to try to stop the wheel completely between two static vertical markers on the ground. The more of the arch you get between the two markers )percentage), the better the cut.

At Orko, I can't recall what the title of that book was. I know I got it from Bard, what was Web Braille then, so it's possible I could track it down again, but it would probably take awhile.As far as driving goes, it has definitely been something I've yearned for extensively. While I'm not quite as skeptical of self driving cars as I used to be, and in fact, if they provided me with greater independence than I have now, and I could actually afford such a thing, which, let's face it, both prospects are long shots, I would be willing to see what they can do. However, it could never replace the actual experience of getting behind the wheel, and knowing that I am essentially controlling this powerful machine that can be the source of pleasure, pain, and everything in between.When I was younger, I constantly dreamed of packing everything I owned into a car, or at least my most prized possessions, and driving off to parts unknown. I would imagine every detail, from the songs on the radio to the purr of the car's engine to the scents wafting in through my open windows as I zoomed along, untethered by any expectations, troubles or hindrances. When I was too exhausted to continue, I would simply stop where I was, and attempt to make the place I had found my home. Even if I had to literally live in my car for awhile while foraging for that burger flipping job that is so elusive to us blind folks until I got on my feet, I would be satisfied just knowing that this was my creation, my doing, my wants, my needs. I wanted this so badly at times that the pain I felt was physical.Then, almost four years ago, I met someone who changed my perspective on many things, and one of the things he showed me is that you don't need to be alone to bask in freedom, or to hope for a better life. I still have that fantasy sometimes, particularly now that he's gone, but the allure of the car and all it represents doesn't have quite as strong of a pull on me as it once did.I do wonder what my life would have been like had I been able to follow through on such a lifestyle, of course. Perhaps it would have ended terribly for me, I have no idea. It could have been the best thing that ever happened to me, or I could just be shrugging my shoulders and saying meh. In any case, even though sighted people have often tried to make me feel better by saying that it's good that I don't have to waste my money on gas, fight with assholes in traffic, or deal with the anxiety that comes with unexpected and costly repairs, I'll always be haunted by that what if?

Any MLB the show players around? I have some questions

Hey everyone.So I don't know why this came into my head again, might have to do with the spring season coming up again, I want to get into MLB the show games again, well, as far as this is possible anyway.I know that there are some accessible ones, I think up till the show 2011, but I might be wrong on that.Also, if possible, I want to play the season and road to the show modes, I think they are called that way, and I am wondering if this is even possible. Because I have the worry that for example the season mode has a sort of calender view where when you hit on the wrong date, the games till this date will be simulated, and I don't want this to happen.I currently have a psp at my disposal, but it should be possible to pick up a ps3 if the need arises.So, put together, my questions are, what is the most accessible version of MLB the show as a fully blind person, do the season and road to the show modes work?Also what I have noticed, with some games on the PSP, I noticed when I save my progress, that, when I would restart the system and the game, the progress wouldn't have saved, this happened in the NBA games, but I am not sure if there are also other games having this problem.Thanks in advance.Greetings Moritz.

So this person is known for insulting people on twitter...for the last few weeks she has been insulting people because they wouldn't unban her from the zone. Thinks like: "If you don't unban me, I wil kill myself" and "Sam Tupy needs to go have sex with Aaron Baker", etc. She has also delted my account on her forum, and in the rules she wrote she clearly said that she wasn't having admins remove accounts if they have personal problems with said individuals.

@gjp1311, I wouldn't necessarily go for an auto travel option. Visually impared players like mazes and navigation as much as anyone else for a challenge, and a game that gives you the tools to complete a challenge is generally more fun than one which just does it for you. For example, if I find a locked door in a dungeon and then later find a key, I'd much rather have to think "oh where the hell was that door!" and then find it again myself than just hit one key and travel to it. Thus, I'd prefer if there were tools like a coordinates system,  "have I visited here before" type of command and , and a way to scan around you and get an idea what was where in terms of rooms. Still it's your game and if  areas are large enough auto movement might be the only way, prticualrly if the game doesn't have coordinates.I'm afraid defender I  disagree on use of spacial maps, at least without a touch screen, indeed they're one thing that work far better on Ios than on a desktop, since even with nvda going up a line reads the entire previous line, not just the previous letter. And anyway, the way that people process sound and  data is entirely different, thus maps of patterned letters which to a sighted person give the chance for a full visual scan and overview, to a visually impared person still need reading and decoding bit by bit, so you might as well just give full information anyway rather than trying to mess around with  letter codes. E.g if a sighted person is  playing a roguelike and sees a greather than symbol and lots of lines, they can intuit a route from their current position to the stairs since mentally they convert and associate  greater than with stairs, where as a visually impared person has to A, remember what the symbol means when it is spoken then B, work their way around the map, interpreting each symbol on the way in small bite sized chunks of information before they can intuit the route. If an overview is given I'd prefer it to  either be a relative basic overview such as telling you what quadrent of the map your in and where salient features are, or just an overview based on your current location, for example a scan command which let you view the contents and exits of given rooms around your current location.

would be cool if you could press a key and open a top down map view, even if just for the quadrant, with a dialog where pressing left right up and down would show you different rooms, with letters indicating the type of room, kinda like a spreadsheet.I'd say just make it work with screen review and leave it at that, but not sure if you can go left right up down easily with the narrator or Jaws virtual cursors in the same way you can with NVDA, so maybe some kind of basic text box would be better.something like:-NMNIINNMMNIQINNNMIIINNN+This represents a 5 by 5 grid, with (N) standing for normal room, (M) for room contains a monster (I) for room contains an item (Q) for room contains a quest element and (+-) for up and down staircases respectively.You can indicate the map borders by making a standard windows ding when you hit the edge, much like in word pad, and change or add symbols as your game requires, such as (P) for passage or (T) for trap, or by removing the (M) for monster on a higher difficulty and replacing it with a (?).This also has the added benefit of working with a braille display, which some blind people still like to use, especially for text games.

I'm currently working on a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. If all goes well I will graduate next year and will be able to become licensed in 2 to 3 years. I just started an internship where I'm being treated like an employer and this is really great experience. I am hoping that this degree + if I get licensed that I will be able to find a job. I think it all comes down to the degree and what you want to do with it. With counseling, nursing, and almost everything in the human services field you need a master's degree. Hmmm even though I've not tried as many of their games as some the last word I'd use to describe games like mecha ace or choice of zombies is bland and generic, even choice of robots and hero's rise had their moments, and the last monster master I found so difficult to play I wound up giving in since I always felt it very personally if I took a choice which upset my monsters . I've played some good games on chooseyourstory, but also unfortunately lots of drek that sounded as if it was written by a ten year old.

Ironically I had bought just enough gold upgrades to cover the thousand gold for the ship, before it occurred to me to actually check the journal and  heard about listening at sturn's shipping outpost, I assumed I'd got everything when i finished the captain goal, but that'll learn me . I'm now making my way into the mighty jungle, lets hope the lion is sleeping tonight . End of spoilers! Still not tried gem cutting as yet  as I haven't had the gold to spare.

There is a direct link on the db page. just download the tar.Gz folder, extract the contents twice (don't know why you need to do this twice but you do), then drop the sound folder into the sounds folder in the vipmud directory in documents. i believe you need the full version of vipmud to play the sounds since it uses msp, but I'm not %100 sure on this hth.

@leibylucw, unfortunately I've met too many people in the Uk with a degree in computer science who have had terrible trouble job wise, maybe the degree is more common, or maybe it's that some universities are better than others, I was quite appalled when I found someone  had supposedly done a degree in computer science and when I asked them what programming language they preferd they didn't know what I was talking about .Then again a separate problem in the Uk is the fact that in the mid eighties the government decided to up the number of people with degrees by making all technical colleges have the status of universities and hnd diploma qualifications have the status of degrees, which means unfortunately in the Uk your standard and type of teaching for a given qualification can vary pretty hugely, especially when a lot of places are offering degrees in fairly random, frequently made up subject that don't require much work, I famously heard of someone who took a degree in train spotting, and  standard joke is the amount of lager louts who take degrees in "sports science" as an excuse to  watch lots of football . This means that a degree, even a degree from a prestigious university is on paper no more valuable than a degree which took someone a small  of work to get. This trend might fall off with the increasing price of  higher education since I doubt that people who aren't serious would try to stump the money or get a lone to get a degree, which should theoretically cut out the pointless degrees and make good degrees more valuable, though in practice it is just resulting in fewer people going to any! unviersity at all and employers caring even less about degrees,  then again that is a social trend in general since if higher education is about stimulating individual thinking, that is not what most people in the prophet machine want of their employees anyway, and so the world of huxley comes ever closer. @Afrim,  I can't speak about the quality of your teaching, but I'm afraid that just sounds like how university is. In my degree I did six modules a year on different aspects of philosophy, Each week we got one lecture per module, and each fortnight we got one seminar, which meant an average of six lectures and two seminars a week.The seminars were there to discuss in smallgroups with a professor and work out the various arguements. The lectures were meant as an overview of the salient aspects of the field, each also came with a reading list which listed materials we should go and read privately in each subject.For each module, we had to write one 2000 word essay a term, an essay for  which we usually have had to have read at least five or six different sources (papers or chapters from books), and in most subjects the essays counted towards our final mark for the year. In  the third term we had one exam per module meaning six exams, each exam requiring us to answer two or three questions, usually on whatever we'd written the essays on. So the lectures and seminars gave us a broad overview, our essays allowed us to specialise to a limited extent, and the exams we were supposed to argue in a structured manner and show we'd understood the subject (which in a subject like metaphysics or logic could be quite interesting). In the final third year we did only four modules (each with exam and essay), however for the last two modules we had to write one ten thousand word dissertation on a subject of our choice,  well ten thousand words for the actual dissertation, usually a couple extra thousand for the bibliography, since we were supposed to show we'd read extensively (I think  my dissertation's bibliography  had about 20 different things on it). And if that was bad, the masters was even worse .I'm not sure what's happening at your uni or why your finding things problematic, but  was how mine was. the odd thing is I absolutely loved! it! the work, the reading, the lectures, it was the only place in my life I've been a fully accepted part of a community and if you offered me to go back I'd do it in a second, essay deadlines and all! .

It's not encrypted, doesn't use tunneling, you could probably intercept IP's of people on their with wireshark or something but I've never used it so not sure, and their is no built in voice masking or certain list of sounds you can play, so it's easy to identify people by those two things.Of course you can also do the same by paying attention to writing style, especially in such a small community, but it's harder, and that's really beyond the devs sphere of responsibility anyway.Like I said I didn't expect it to be truly anonymous, I only brought it up because that's the name and main claim to fame, and even if it was I probably wouldn't trust this dev to manage that kind of thing responsibly given his past and age, or really anyone without allot of rep from the security community, E.G. multiple professionals tried to hack or listen in on the service and failed.Either way it's unlikely that someone will track you down unless you really piss them off anyway, so just play nice and be a wall flower if you want to stay safe, but by then you may as well just use a regular service, since your not saying something you wouldn't normally.

@simba I believe the old version of the zone was run by Jage from Blind Bargains. It's been run for 15 years, but unfortunately the guy shut it down. It had all sorts of things like games and boards and the like. Katy/Eliza/whatever you want to call her is Microsoftsam, the person who posted this topic and made the new version of the zone, but nobody wants to join it because she goes around insulting people on Twitter and we think that she's gonna do the same thing on her platform. Ok what the fuck man! Gem cutting is cheap as hell! As soon as I double tap it  immediately gives me a new ding sound,  which, is fine when I'm playing on my keyboard. I have a reaction time of 0.2 seconds on it or something.  It's a different story on iOS however.  It takes slightly longer to double tap so I always make about a 44% cut if the game decides to do the sounds back to back.  If you want, I can explain it in more detail, but please, please add at least a one second delay in between each sound.

Hi all,I'm currently working with Java 8 and NVDA on Windows 10 using powerShell.  When it comes to working with the JOptionPane package, NVDA will not read any dialog box, whether it is an input or a message dialog box.NVDA simply does not read output from programs using these methods.Any help would be greatly appreciated,Luke

I actually had a little bit of money toward the end of February, so I attempted a test. I bought Griff the other day, since it was under twenty bucks and I already have Airik the Cleric.I have heard nothing at all from Jake as of yet. Late last night/early this morning I sent him a firm but polite email at the email address listed, mentioning that I had attempted to purchase one of his games which is already completed, and suggesting that I would open a dispute with Paypal if communication in the near future was not forthcoming.If absolutely nothing else, this is a system which ought to be automated and isn't. I think Jake ought to fix that. Also, he's still using a Yahoo address. I can't remember the last time I saw one of those.

Without this mess the staff do there, and without them in fact (I know that sounds a bit crazy), the game is pretty itself. Sad that it doesn't have any good staff, even those who were there and left was using their power all the time, as I've experienced, for giving their characters a lot of advantages and the last, before most of them left, there was a military org opening and they were accepting only one race of two. That's, discrimination, in my opinion. I played this game a year and a bit more, and from time to time I return there just because memeries, but I wish there would be a better staff and all. Nothing personal, but what ruined the game was the staff, for every good action there were five provocating ones. Sad, the leaving and returning won't mean anything for those who already knows how's everything there and what's going on there. So the only memeries left, the game could be much more interesting and enjoyable.P.s. Not blaming anyone, just frownin when seeing another ruins of what previously was something good.

Accept that I combined the two, sometimes misleading config templates into one, tested the config values to see which ones didn't have any effect and noted it, reformatted the commands list to be more readable and gave a bit more info in places, put all the maps from Joseph's server in their (at least 5 of which are not standard) and made the map list for them, then added a readme to get people started.I already pointed out that all you need is localhost and the default port, as well.But figuring out config.dat, scon formatting, all that, while pretty easy, is made more difficult with the kinda crappy instructions given by default, and if all you want to do is practice offline than why would you want to mess around with all of that?It's not like you can't modify my config and shit to put your own server online...

I was going through the Dragon Shrine, and got right to the back room with the door that had the riddle on it (at least, it sounded like a riddle. Three-bodied dragon and exit without exits). Anyways, I went west, jumped the lava, entered the next room and went north to the opening. Only when I stepped through I was stuck in a loop. I think there's lava right at the entrance of that room because I kept hearing the sound for going back to the entrance and then Lillia's pained sound. Then something started attacking me (the music didn't change so I know it wasn't the boss), and there was nothing I could do and it wiped me out.

I'm currently working on a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. If all goes well I will graduate next year and will be able to become licensed in 2 to 3 years. I just started an internship where I'm being treated like an employer and this is really great experience. I am hoping that this degree + if I get licensed that I will be able to find a job. I think it all comes down to the degree and what you want to do with it. With counseling, spam, and almost everything in the human services field you need a master's degree. I also think a lot of programs are moving toward the direction of licensure and master’s degree at least in human services.

Vocational-related occupations seem to offer more of a promise for a guaranteed job, and therefore a stable income.I'm fortunate to be interested in computers the way I am -- jobs requiring knowledge about software, developer-operations, etc, are in high demand here in the states.  However, many job listings I've found require a B.S. in Computer Science.  This is a hindrance to those who are lower in socioeconomic status.  By and large, college is still considered a luxury.  Only a small percentage of Americans actually attend some form of post-secondary-level of education, and an even smaller fraction attend a college or university.  This is all being told in the confines of America.

You can't circle around them, if you take one of them by accident you've gotta cut through another location and take the long way back. The game is designed to eventually become where you can set a quest and forget it, but in the beginning it will take a little more attention. Trust me when I say that you don't want to rush buying the ship. Take your time gathering the gold a little bit and gather some gear and gems along the way. In fact I believe the intent is to slow you down from purchasing the ship too quickly to insure that you gain the necessary upgrades before setting sail, as the quests levels go up rather quickly from that point on. The closest to a set and forget money maker is the Jungle and Mine. Without quest time reduction they take quite some time to complete and reward you well. However if you can check your game often I suggest the Golden Sands quest in Smuggler's Cove once you unlock it. It still has one of the best gold per minute ratio of all the quests that I've seen. It becomes even better once you can reduce it's quest time to under it's original quest time of 15 minutes. The river also has a well rewarding quest, but until you can reduce it's quest time to 5 minutes, the Golden Sands quest is still the better of the two. Also remember to max out your Parrot and Compass as soon as you can, as well as take a trip down to the Jungle Outpost if you  haven't done so already. I'm pretty sure the Jungle Outpost will be worth your time.

I got an iPad primarily for game playing because I don't play games on my iPhone. If I'm going to burn up battery life playing a game or games, I'd rather do it on something non essential like an iPad than on my iPhone which is my primary means of communication.

Hello,If you don't have windows10, there is an unofficial addon for NVDA which uses an online service that provides the OCR. It sometimes seems to work, sometimes takes long to work etc, it's abit unstable but you can bare that. There is a limit of 500 requests per day.

Hello, and thanks for bringing back this wonderful topicOn Monday, I start the last semester of my bachelor degree, and having been at university for two and a half years, I can say that it does more harm than good to the students who choose to pursue a major there.There are a number of reasons I could highlight to explain my above statement, however I will focus mainly on how university works, at least here in Albania as a way of explaining the deficiencies of higher education.The student, after graduating from high school, is offered the opportunity to apply for a discipline or major at university, based on his subject focus and GPA. If he is successful, the student goes on for three years with his bachelor degree, which is composed of subjects that make up the discipline he/she has chosen to study. The programs are well arranged; however, the amount of information you get per subject is by and large beyond your capacity, or, considering the time at your disposal, it can't be accomplished by any means. It's not simply about working hard or working wisely (these phrases often drive me up the wall); it is about processing, memorising, analysing and reproducing the information you have at hand. When you can smoothly manage to reproduce the information on a particular subject, only then should you be tested on that subject, but nowhere does that happen. Another point closely rlated is that the student does not have enough time to practice what has he learnt in theory. A student may read 30-40 pages of a lecture, and is given only two classes to bring out the knowledge he has gained. Only through two classes per week, (which we call seminars) can the professor assess the progress of his student. Of course, this is not true for all subjects, as some need more involvement by the side of students; however, the average is two classes. To ease the process of studying, professors frequently tell their students that they should focus primarily on the most important arguments, but how on the earth can they make a logical connection between arguments by reading only the main points? This is more like making him a computer-based mind rather than a logical mind that knows what it says and what it does. That is the tendency at university. I know that professors own and can use that knowledge, and I believe that most of that they have gained by reading, rereading, reading and then rereading again books after all the levels of studies they have completed. They certainly, and we too want to get the best out of university in terms of learning, nonetheless, I can't get how the student is supposed to succeed under such intensely tough pressure in such little time. This is the reason why I am more in favour of non-standard education, but sadly non-standard education is not recognised by public or private institutions. I'm completely disappointed by the university experience so far.

Instead of steps, try and look at those things like little one-way ledges. You can fall off them, but can't climb back up the same way.It's been awhile since I've done this tutorial, and I do remember it giving me a little difficulty when I first tried it, so don't get discouraged. Eventually you will figure it out, I think. You may have to scan walls with the field viewer looking for paths to get you around the obstacle. That's generally the way to go.If you're hearing a crunching/crackling sound as you walk, that means you're right on the edge of a ledge. Try and listen to where that sound is oriented from. If it sounds like it's to your left, that means stepping left will probably dump you off the ledge. It's harmless, thank goodness, but it means you'll have to work your way around again.So now I'll outline a more complicated example.Say you're in a big square room. Using the field viewer, you know the door out is way up in the northeast corner. But between you and that door is a ledge (indicated by a very short "ush" sound when you hit it while walking). It appears to be blocking the entire north edge of the square room you're standing in (there's a wall on its left end and a wall on its right).So you use the field viewer, and lo and behold! you find a little gap in the west wall. Following it west, you find a north-south path. So now you're west of that big square, travelling north. You go quite a ways north and finally find a wall, and now there's a new path to the east.A few steps after moving east, you hear that crackling/crunching sound from what sounds like the south. Using the field viewer, you see that you've actually managed to get yourself up on top of that ledge...so whatever you do, don't go south. Keep going east. Eventually, you'll get the little high-pitched whistle of wind to tell you that the door is above you.And there you have it.I think the tutorial is a bit more complex than that, but that's the thing to remember. Look for gaps in walls, take them up onto ledges, and then don't jump off the ledge by mistake, or you'll just have to go around and do it all over again.

ok guys, so I narrowed the issue. It does not happen when the phone is ringing. It only happens when it is answered. Also, waiting for speaker switch doesn't make a difference. Could someone tell me a solution to this if it is available? It is really annoying, and braking. I cannot hangup with the lock button at all, as pressing it doesn't do anything. Basicly, I have no way to hang up. Congrats to crapple  for making such a shitty fucked up operating system.

Hi gjp1311. Generally  for screen readers, trying to display any sort of information in a spacial way doesn't work, because screen reading programs actually speak the text. For example if you wrote a three x three map like this: Corridor, pit, staircase, Room, pit, corridor, Room, entrance, pit.The screen reader would just speak all the words together in a line e.g Corridor, pit, staircase, room, pit, corridor, room, entrance, pit. Thus a person would have to mentally break down the list of things and put them into a map which is pretty difficult when you get to very large layouts. This btw is also why ascii roguelike games are extremely difficult to play since having to listen to your screen reader say dot hash dot dot dot at dot m dot hash line isn't exactly illuminating .Even if you include coordinates on the map you run into a similar problem, especially if  the map is very large. what it's best to do, is have ways for the player to find out where they are and what is around them in the map from the room they're currently in.Thus, have a way to speak the coordinates of the current room, be told what exits the room has, and be told whether they've been in that room before or not.You could also include some ways of pinpointing specific rooms, if the player gains information throughout the game, so for example if the player uses a "detect monster" spell the player could be told "goblin four east one south" or if the player has found the xit they could be told Exit ten east seven north"You could even optionally include abilities for players to get the exact route to a given thing on the map, e.g "nearest fountain is five north, two east, one south, three west and one north" though this would be more a luxury than a necessity since most blind players are well used to working out routes from the basic directions given information about where they are and what is around them.Hth.

Accept that I combined the two, sometimes misleading config templates into one, tested the config values to see which ones didn't have any effect and noted it, reformatted the commands list to be more readable and gave a bit more info in places, put all the maps from Joseph's server in their and made the map list for them, and added a readme to get people started.I already pointed out that all you need is localhost and the default port, as well.But figuring out config.dat, scon formatting, all that, while pretty easy, is made more difficult with the kinda crappy instructions given by default, and if all you want to do is practice offline than why would you want to mess around with all of that?It's not like you can't modify my config and shit to put your own server online...

As far as I've understood matters, the main advantages of an Ipad are that it A has a larger screen, and B, can do mostly all of the things that an Iphone can do in terms of running games etc without the actual phone bits and so is significantly cheaper.So no, if your a blind user and already have an Iphone there isn't a lot of point in the Ipad imho. As to tablets generally, personally if I need a computer to do computer things, e.g serious writing, web browsing, composing  email etc I'll  use my desktop when I'm at home, and my laptop when I'm not, so for me a tablet would be a little pointless. of course I could carry a bluetooth keyboard and even use my Iphone, but if I'm going to carry a keyboard I might as well carry a laptop, and  Ios with all it's file restrictions is not an  environment I like for serious computer work due to it'se transfer restrictions etc. There are windows tablets of course, but last I checked Windows mobile didn't have the processing power or accessibility of full scale windows, and you were still better with a laptop than a tablet  if you want a proper computer on the go, though  this might well change in the future and is likely something I'll reconsider  five or six  years down the line if my laptop goes bye bye. About android I don't know, but though I'd be interested to spend an hour or two playing with an Android device I don't know if I have the money or motivation  purchice and learn one, especially with the number of android specific things it can do being low and the fact I don't exactly know how well it works for general computer stuff. So for me at the moment the major devices I have are my Iphoen 8, my windows 10 desktop and laptop, and my echo dot, and I don't have any immediate plans for anymore .

Accept that I combined the two, sometimes misleading config templates into one, tested the config values to see which ones didn't have any effect and noted it, reformatted the commands list to be more readable and gave a bit more info in places, put all the maps from Joseph's server in their and made the map list for them, and added a readme to get people started.I already pointed out that all you need is localhost and the default port, as well.But figuring out config.dat, scon formatting, all that, while pretty easy, is made more difficult with the kinda crappy instructions given by default, and if all you want to do is practice offline than why would you want to mess around with all of that.It's not like you can't modify my config and shit to put your own server online...
