I'm glad you've discovered the culprit for the kitchen messes! I completely
agree that he needs to go to the vet to rule out a UTI. His actions remind
me in many ways of our same problems earlier. The howling can be from pain

Welcome to the group! I can't advise you on the FeLV issues or the other
problems Moe, but the mess in the kitchen I have a lot of experience with-if
it's urine that you're talking about.
Our Bandit was going in the heat vent, of all places, this winter. We tried
everything.
Susan,
I give SD C/D to all my cats since one of them needs it to prevent crystals
forming in his urine. It is impossible to feed them separately. Since he
started on it, he hasn't had any problems.
What would you suggest I use instead? It's expensive food, and I know there
has to be something
medicine you are feeding to your cat who is
prone to crystals.
