That would be a *tack* store. Or a feed store. Or a farm store. Bottles of DMSO will be on the shelves of any of these -- and it's unlikely that anyone will ask any questions about why you're buying it -- there's nothing illegal about buying it. Incidentally -- frequently you'll find roll-on DMSO, and jars of DMSO gel right alongside the bottles of the liquid. Both of these products are great for use on sore, arthritic joints. Hi Paul, The only hitch with DMSO is that it can be very drying to the skin. Mixed 50/50 with Aloe, it's just as effective and the skin will be happier. There's also a recipe called Brooks mix: 75%CS, 15%glycerin, and 10%DMSO. Great for wounds and aches. I put mine in a 1oz roll0on I got on eBay. Also, tart cherry juice is good for gout, but if it gets pricey or hard to find for you, there are tart cherry capsules (I take one every night) that are pretty effective, too. If you suspect gout, try to avoid foods with purines, like sardines, shrimp, smoked oysters, etc. That's what brought mine on. Hi Paul, I've used this brand. It's good, but pricey for chronic use. I get DMSO from my local Feed'n'Seed,(for about 1/4 price) then combine with aloe vera gel I get in a tube at our Natural Food Store. Glycerine is supposed to be drying, too, but in the original Brooks mix, it was used to soften the skin and I never noticed it having a drying effect. I made large bottles of the mix and then decanted them to my small roll-ons. (nice to have them scattered about for whenever, wherever I need them) Now, I'm using the 50/50 DMSO and Aloe gel, and that seems to work very well. More DMSO than that, and the less exposed, more tender skin, like the back of knee, seems to get itchy and irritated. But we're all different. To be honest, I have no clue what substance my lens were made out of. The surgeries were done in 1998/1999 so whatever was prevalent back then is what was used. The surgeries were done at a top eye surgical facility in Richmond, Va. so they would have used the material that was commonly available back then, I assume. I couldn't find a definitive answer. I was given a little card for each eye that states that I have implanted lenses and also gives details of the size of lens, the mfr, and says what model they are, even the power of the lenses, and each one has a serial number. Funny you should mention those little cards. When you asked the question as to what material my lens were made out of, I looked all over for my cards before answering you. I can still see them in my mind's eye and could have sworn they were stuck back in my wallet somewhere but I couldn't find them. I don't know if I have stuck them somewhere else or.. finally got rid of them. I don't think I would do that so... I have them tucked away somewhere, I guess. I couldn't remember whether it mentioned what material the lens is made out of or what and I tried to find out what material was in common usage back 15 yrs ago and had no luck. Just my personal experience-I have been brushing my teeth with soap for
umpteen years, and it has not helped with tooth sensitivity at all.
CS rinsing post brushing helps, and helped tremendously years ago, but it
doesn't help with this particular tooth. I will have my dentist check it
again at my next appt.

soap made from soap nuts. Just curious--- glad I'm not a cat-- curiosity
killed the cat.. Maybe I'd be the lucky cat.--Satisfaction brought it
back-- grin---I did read on the germkiller site that the minizillawhich is

I do not think there is infection involved with this tooth, there is
just a very very thin space between the gum and the top of the cap, just
about enough to get a fingernail into or the tip of a toothpick or
dental tool (OUCH to all 3!).
Did try straight DMSO with no improvement.
I'm currently trying myrrh essential oil.(because I have
it)..seems to help a little (tincture) may try it neat and see if
that works better, but again, I don't think there is any infection, so
why an antibiotic type essential oil would do anything is unclear.

Prospec MI paste will remineralize. There are others too. Not the
perfect ingredients but it builds the tooth back enough to stop the
sensitivity

It works. I will second that recommendation. I have several zillas around the house. A 6V lantern battery one (Godzilla) and a couple of smaller ones using I think it was C batteries (Godrods I think he called them). You can tape two C batteries together for a 3V minzilla. I like the minizilla for face stuff. The 6V can cause eye flashes sometimes - which while apparently not harmful are a bit disturbing. I just put some DMSO in the bottle cap and dipped my finger in and then rubbed it on the gun/tooth root area. I did this several times. Yes, it tastes awful, but you also get used to it. DH had excrutiatingly sensitive teeth. Dentist recommended this special toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Using it gave him the same pain as sweet things. Studied the contents list, looked up on line - sorbitol is used to keep the paste moist. My mother used to tell me as a kid that they put sugar in toothpaste to rot people's teeth, and I didn't believe her. Sixty years later I wonder if this is what she meant. Iodine? I know about the effect of the Tea Tree and Sensadyne is from direct experience. It even took care of an impacted tooth.. swelling went down, and tooth was fine. Perhaps someone knows of another essential oil that could be substituted??? I think so. I also heard someone say recently that there is now a health hazard warning on some toothpastes because of the sodium laurel sulfate that is in them. I stopped using toothpaste years ago. Hopefully, you don't smoke as the DMSO will transfer nicotine deeper into the lungs and into the bloodstream possibly causing an overdose of nicotine from what I've heard. David, I use this mix: 1 oz CS - 1 tsp MSM powder- 12 drops DMSO Years ago I figured out what percent of DMSo this is but I have long forgotten. I mix it in a glass dropper bottle and usually use 3 ml as a treatment. I used it in an omron elite for many years until it died (the switch died)---now am using it in the edge-1 shown on the page the link you gave connects to. I HATE the edge-1 as it is incredibly noisy. After some searching I found another omron elite at ebay and it is supposed to be here tomorrow. I can hardly wait! The CS in my mix is my homemade about 10 ppm, the MSM I use is Opti-MSM, and The DSMO is just plain old vet grade DMSO as sold by Jeffers Equine, etc. (I am nebulize my pet rabbit twice a day, and you can see a photo of him getting a treatment at the homepage of the SilverPets list: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/SilverPets/ A 3 ml treatment with the edge-1 takes approx 15 minutes. I'd be very cautious when nebulizing DMSO on a smoker. It could release a lot of the stored poisons coating the lungs from smoking. Rats...this confuses me more. Sounds like Brooks is implying that people have done nebulized CS when peroxide is added to it? Is that compatible with the other additions of DMSO and MSM? The peroxide my doc gave me I think was only 0.0375%. Brooks implies people nebulize with concentration even more than 2% added to CS? Sounds like there is a long road to slowly work up through if you want to take nebulizers to the max. First CS, then adding peroxide, then adding DMSO, then adding MSM, then taking cayenne, then using brooks' fancy nebulizer. It could take a long time to slowly increase through all that, but I may have to for myself someday. In addition to my friend, I know my lungs are infected with something as part of my chronic lyme. Leslie, What type of tumor is the spot you are doctoring? Is it a fatty cyst or do you believe it might be cancer? On a fatty cyst I mixed some DMSO with Lugols and put it on the cyst and they diminished in size. I have some of Tel's black salve and would use it if I thought malignant. Unless it is contaminated it doesn't seem to get much better than 99.9 % pure. It is made from the inter part of trees left over from a sawmill cuttings and sawdust. They truck it into a to factory process it in to a solvent. The only contamination I can think of is if some cross contamination when processing, and that would carry whatever is mixed with it deep into tissue. DMSO isn't in the pharmacopeia any more than CS is or ever was ..no such thing as pharmaceutical grade DMSO or CS. 99.9% is about as pure as ANYTHING gets and 100% pure isn't likely possible anywhere for any-thing. 99.9%, not bad for an industrial solvent being polluted upon application to a chemical soup body or dilution with 89% pure distilled water. As to herpes, my husband has put in on cold sores (mixed with CS) and after a few treatments, he hasn't had an outbreak in years. I have seen it stop a cold sore on him in 3 days. I have a friend that has them all around the rectum and has tried the stuff the doctor give but it just made them smaller and now her doctor wants to burn them off and she wants to try to get rid of them herself. And the pain relief is near instantaneous upon application. And I apply it ONCE a day, every morning. Now I know someone is gonna ask. So here's what I did. I had approx a fourth of a 16 oz jar of DMSO gel that I've been using, and I added three full droppers of Lugol's 2% to that. It will liquefy, so don't worry about it. Clean and dry the, e, area. Wet your fingers well with the mixture or use your choice of applicator, and apply liberally outside and a little inside. Lord have mercy I almost fell over from the sudden relief. I kid you not. Instant relief, well for me it worked that fast. YMMV. I'm gob smacked that such a simple thing worked so very very well. And o so happy to have tried it out. I had tried DMSO by itself, and it didn't work all that well for me, but add the Lugol's and they're a dynamite combo. Ya know what, this may work on spider veins, and varicose veins as well. I'd try straight Lugol's on them and see if that'll shrink them, or try the DMSO and Lugol's. And the mixture didn't burn me at all. I understand the Lugol's applied to keloid scars will reduce them. It might take a while, but I've read that it's effective. I haven't tried it myself yet. Although, I do notice that a scar that I've had on my forehead for years seems to be flattening out since I started taking the Lugol's internally. And I've been taking Lugol's for months now. There she says she feels a spider web of goo like there is were the crap is conjugating. Is this stuff that was uptaked into my body trying to move to my liver for body elimination?Has anyone had any bad experience with DMSO.
