If you are showing pressure and have hot water then it sounds like
your steam boiler is hot.
Are you sure your steam wand is not blocked? Milk can be sucked inside
the tip and block it up from the inside.
There is a plastic pipe inside the steam wand, I would check that out as well.

I would take the filter off for the purpose of testing it out, just in case
it is on the wrong one. Just put it back when you are finished sorting out
the problem.
From my Brewtus II experience, you should be able to hear if the pump is not
getting enough water as it will speed up.

If it truly is building to 10 bar when you're not pulling a shot, something
else is amiss.
Hi Benjamin
I had the same issue on my rotary pump machine when I got it and was
convinced something was wrong. The pressure increase however is totally
normal and is caused by the water expanding in
Hey Mario
On my machine there is a large hole directly under where the boiler
element screws in so that the element can be removed without having to
move the boiler.
The brew boiler is saturated (has no air in it) so it is not possible
to empty it out with steam like you do the steam boiler and
it drips when the brew boiler heating element goes on and stops when
it turns off. I never really worried about it too much. I assumed the
excess water in the previous configuration was was simply feed back
via the de aerator hose.

Has anyone tried changing the whole steam arm on the Brewtus?
Was wondering if this is perhaps the reason for slower steam performance on
the Brewtus than some of it's competitors. Would make sense considering that
the cool wand is lined with a plastic pipe which I would imagine is a lot

I descaled my machine last week but used a slightly different process
to make sure that I reached the full boiler, it involves disconnecting
the water level sensor on the machine which enables you to overfill
the machine and descale the complete steam boiler boiler.
