Well I haven't even gotten anything to work yet either. That's why I'm
considering it.

Hi Dark,
Unfortunately, I've got to go soon so I don't have much time to go
over this with you in detail right now, but I did see some
syntactical errors in your code. For example, you consistantly used a
semi-colon after your If and Else statements. That's not legal code.
Here is an example of wha
Hi Dark,
Smile. Welcome to the wonderful world of resource management. Don't
feel too bad as this is an issue that comes up all the time with new
programmers, because they often think as you do that a number is just
a number and don't understand the difference between int, float, long,
short, doubl
Actually Bryan, I'd prefer to see your code too, not to mention any
comments people make sinse as you'll gather I'm not exactly progressing too
well myself, even with comparatively symple tasks.
Beware the grue!

That's my situation as well. I'm tempted to post what little code I have so
far to the list or, if anyone's interested in doing it that way, perhaps
having someone help me with it privately to at least make sure I'm on the
right track.

I certainly would. Granted I'd only be able to get the Light version at
first but then later I could get the discount for Pro, which I do plan on
owning at some point.

Hi,
Actually, return statements are alloud in functions that return void.
The only different is you don't return an actual value. The way you do
this is like this.
void main ()
{
return;
}
Since I didn't pass a value or variable to the return statement it
defaults to void.About the only time
Hi Dark,
I think the concept you are missing here is called scope. Variables
can be declared in the local scope or the global scope. There are
important differences and uses of each of these types of variables.
Global variables are generally declared at the top of your
program/script and are visabl
Well philip, to be perfectly honest, whether I will be buying the toolkit in
either version will depend upon whether it's likely I can actually create
anything with it at all.
At the moment that is stil an open question, though I intend to keep
trying.
Beware the grue!
Dark.

Hi Tom.
That makes sense, the problem is I'm not getting anything else to work
either.
currently, I'm trying to display a set of list boxes which count hp down as
the D key is pressed, then the character dies at zero and the game exits.
something seems to be going wrong with both my conditi
Cringe...I could just imagine trying to read it with a screen reader.

Hi gang,
With the positive reception that BGT has had, I am considering taking preorders
for the tool. How do you all feel about this, would you be interested in
preordering if the option was available?
Kind regards,
Philip Bennefall
