next step is to ask here too.
What IRC client would you recommend for use with JAWS? I expect to rely
largely on braille output. I am comfortable with command line-based IRC
clients under UNIX and Linux, so

I installed JAWS on a Windows 10 machine today at work. The process was mostly
accessible. I invoked Microsoft Narrator, which I hadn't used before, and
managed to use it to run Internet Explorer, download the latest JAWS 17
release, and start the installation. I switched off

unable to read the dialogues of the installation software.

display. I typed G + dot 7 + space to turn contracted braille on for input.

EdSharp works reliably. It isn't a substitue for Emacs or Vim under Linux
(both excellent editing environments), but it's designed to be very accessible
to screen reader users.

Under Mac OS I use TextMate; under Linux, for serious work, I use Emacs,

A bug that affected me in JAWS 17 was fixed in JAWS 18. The effect of the bug
