Hi Dark,

Wo! If you want to read something like Star Wars, such as every book
in chronological order, that would be a lot of reading. How far back
to the beginning are we talking. As I said in one of my posts there
are several different eras. We could go clear back in to the Knights
of the Old Republic era which happens thousands of years before the
Clone Wars. You Could start with something like Cloak of Deception
which happens about 20 years before the Clone Wars and read from there
etc. Either way if you want to go back to the beginning we are talking
a couple dozen books before we even get to Star Wars a New Hope which
was the first book and movie released. Then, from there there is at
least 40 or 50 books that happens after A New Hope. It would take you
a good year or two to read all that.

Plus I don't mean to disappoint you, but not all the history is in
books. We have the Star Wars Clone Wars cartoons that has a lot of
cannon information not found in the books per say. Also some story
lines found in the Star Wars comic books has a habit of being
cannonized at some point as well. For example, Luke and Mara's wedding
is never covered in any book, but was covered in the Star Wars comics,
and obviously became cannonized as historical events in the Star Wars
universe.

In another case Lumiya, Darth Vader's apprentice, shows up in the Star
Wars comics initially. For several years she remained nothing more and
nothing less than a comic book villen. However, once she was used in
the Legacy of the Force series suddenly she was ccannonized, and
became a part of the Star Wars history thus making all the comic books
in that series historical. Since the comics aren't exactly accessible
we are at a disadvantage as we can't get the entire chronology through
books and movies.

Cheers!

Hi,

Ooh...That gives me an extremely wicked thought. Let me just say I
know a way that would seriously light a fire under their collective
butts and might knock a little sense into Bavisoft.

Just for kicks what if someone got on the audiogames.net forums and
said if Bavisoft doesn't begin answering their e-mail, correct
shipping order problems, etc person x is going to simply upload their
games somewhere and give them away for free. Yeah, I know, it is
pretty low, but I'm sure they would be climbing out of their
collective holes to sscream for people not to do that too them. The
obvious reply would be for them to A, be able to be contacted via
their support addresses, and B, that they disclose any and all
projects they are working on immediately. Otherwise we don't believe
you and Bavisoft doesn't exist. Now, wouldn't that burn their butts.
Lol!

I'm not suggesting that anyone actually do this, but wouldn't it be
funny? Could you imagine them getting bent out of shape because a
number of their customers just revolted and plastered Bavisoft's games
over the internet, because Bavisoft never answeres their e-mail etc?

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Is Bavisoft Still Around?

2010-12-16 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Dark,

As far as the piracy rules of the Audyssey list goes we require
written permission from the developer/author in order to redistribute
games freely. As Dan, Philip Bennefall, and a few developers have
publically given permission to redistribute games like Super Deecout,
Tarzan Junior, etc we freely do so. With Code Factory they haven't
outright said you can't give their games away for free, nor have they
given anyone outright permission to do so either. For that reason I
haven't put any of their games on my website or allowed anyone to post
download links to Audyssey. It is a fine line between piracy and
simply redistributing supposed abandonware, and Raul and I would like
that definition to be a little more clear cut by the developers.

For example, let's take Montezuma's Revenge. That's a game that is
clearly abandonware, and I certainly created it. I have very clear cut
and specific reasons for not wanting the game to be redistributed. I
made a legal agreement not to redistribute/continue that game and am
probably legally bound by that agreement. Now, if someone starts
passing it around I could end up in trouble for it even though I
wasn't the one who initiated the distribution. For that reason I have
a firm no redistribution polacy with that game.

In other developers' cases, Code Factory, even though they currently
have no support for their games doesn't mean that a year from now they
will release new versions of said games. In which case we would have
given away a number of their games for free, pirated them, even though
they themselves had something in the works regarding those titles.
Therefore it is a good safeguard, even if it is nothing more than a
formality, to get the developer's permission before redistributing
software freely. We really don't know that Code Factory, Bavisoft, etc
really has nothing planned in the future. All we know is the appear to
be abandoned at the moment.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Is Bavisoft Still Around?

2010-12-16 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Dark,

Not only that, but you might want to point out or add that adding some
sort of download service would greatly improve their order system. For
example, on USA Games we have a php script that routes you to Paypal
for checkout and ordering, and when done it brings up a secured
download page to download the title that expires after 7 days. They
could do the same, and with most people on cable or DSL these days
there is really no need for shipping physical media to a customer.
That would go a long ways to resolving their problem with orders
getting lost in the mail, and is automated for the most part.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Is Bavisoft Still Around?

2010-12-16 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Yohandy,

That was exactly my point. I basically wasn't suggesting that someone
actually upload and share the games for real. Only that someone jurk
their chain a little and convince them that we are going to go through
with it to bring them to the bargoning table and open a dialog with
their customers. Some of us, such as myself, wouldn't actually upload
and share their games on principle. However, I might be willing to
convince them I would do so if it would get their attention long
enough to give them a piece of my mind, and to tell them to shape up
or go out of business.

We just need to be convincing about it.

Re: [Audyssey] Is Bavisoft Still Around?

2010-12-16 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Dark,

Yeah, good point. In both cases we know that the companies are still
in business. With BSC we know that Justin is busy with work and family
so BSC Games has been sidelined, but not forgotten. While we don't
know exactly what Draconis is doing i do know that they are developing
a cross-platform engine, the same as I am, in order to port their
titles to Mac OS. As I know this is going to be an extremely long and
difficult process I'm not surprised we haven't heard much out of Josh.
However, we do know Draconis still does exist, fulfills orders, and so
on. However, someone less aware of their activities might assume their
stuff is abandoned and do something foolish like pass their games
around assuming they are abandoned or something. So you are right
automatically assuming something is abandoned even if it is a company
like Bavisoft is a poor president to set.

Cheers!

at least are filled, and they do to some degree stil communicate even if not
actuallying saying anything useful, they could quite successfully take
someone to court for simply claiming they weren't one. It'd be akin to
someone saying Welll, that car was just left on the corner of the street
for two weeks, obviously nobody was owning it so I took it

As regards piracy, I was actually thinking of Draconis. There games are the
easiest to crack and redistribute, and they in fact haven't released
anything new for some considderable time.

in fact I believe their last update was in 2008 which was a vista
compatibility fix to many of there games.

the same could be said of bsc, even if their games are slightly harder to
 crack.

there is! evidence (which is to say there isn't), that they haven't done any
updating of there site sinse the vista patches, which is I think all the amo
 some people would need.

Pluss, i wouldn't personally like to see a situation where any tom dick or
harry could legitimately pirate any game they wished if they happen to feel
that the company hadn't communicated or updated, that would not be
good, (developers would be in terror of their mail servers crashing).

Ultimately, it'd be a nasty precedent to set and probably end up doing more
harm than good in the end.

 Beware the Grue!

Cheers!

those games cannot be obtained legitimately given bavisoft's horrible

[Audyssey] Message to Bavisoft

2010-12-16 Thread dark
I posted the following on the audiogames.net forum. While not the ultimatum
talked about, I do hope it'll get a result, sinse I'm sick of this
stupidity!

Hello.

After a recent discussion of your work on the audeasy list, I felt it was
extremely important to bring certain urgent issues to your attention.

Both of Your games have been very much appreciated in the past, and during
the immediate time after release. however, increasingly, the opinion among
members of the community is that bavisoft's behaviour and practices have
been less and less reputable, and indeed it has now come to the point when a
newcomer to audiogames is advised to steer clear of attempting to perchice
your games.

there are several reasons for this. firstly, is the business of people not
receiving orders. There has been a long history of people not recieving
their games on cd, or indeed having to wait periods of time upwards of 6
weeks to get them, (doubly bad in todays' world of high speed net
connections).

What makes this situation far worse, is the lack of any sort of contact
method for bavisoft. For at least the last three to four years, the E-mail
address sa...@bavisoft.com has consistantly bounced e-mails, thus leaving
customers who wish to know the status of their orders with no way of
contacting the company at all, (I in fact originally attempted to send this
enquiry via E-mail myself, but my message produced a this address has a
fatal error warning).

then, there is Bavisoft's lack of even acnolidging the release of windows
versions later than xp. With the release of windows Vista in 2007, and
windows 7 a year later, people are experiencing extreme compatibility issues
with games written for earlier versions of windows. This situation is only
made the worse by the fact that all other developers of audio games,
even those such as bsc games and Vip gameszone who are no longer actually
producing titles (though they stil support their old games), have made the
upgrades to their programs necessary to run on later windows versions.

this brings me to Bavisoft's final, and most serious problem. The company
has released no news, no word, not even a season's greetings for the past
six years.

Indeed, the only times Bavisoft has responded to any enquiry is when people
have suggested your games should be made abandonware sinse you seem no
longer to support them. This happens roughly once a year, in august of 2008,
then in June of 2009.

As players of audio games, we are all familiar with the amount of time it
takes to develope titles. There has been a gap of two years betwene Gma
games last three releases, and Usa games' title Mysteries of the ancients
has been in developement for the past five years, while Draconis haven't
released a game sinse 2006.

We are also well aware that life, desasters or unforseen circumstances can
very much get in the way of developement, as in fact it has in the case of
usa games.

however, in the cases of most audio game developers, there is at least some
news, or at the least an occasional happy Christmas or halloween, to let
people know that the company is stil selling and supporting their games and
may, time permitting be able to produce a new title in future.

In the case of bavisoft however, there is none of this. the company website
has not been updated sinse 2004, and Bavisoft have said nothing to their
players at all beyond please don't pirate our games and that only once a
year.

While I (both personally and in my capacity as moderator of audiogames.net),
in no way condone game piracy, I do rather understand the feeling which some
players have that if they cannot obtain Bavisoft's games by any other
method, owing to unprocessed orders, and no company support via E-mail
or similar, the games should be made abandonware so that people may play
them.

it is for this reason that i AM WRITING THIS APPEAL.

It has been six years sinse the community at large has heard from bavisoft
officially, people have not been able to obtain the games on cd nor to
contact the company.

so, please! give us some word, even if just happy christmas to let us know
the company is stil running.

It has also been suggested that Bavisoft strongly considder the following
points:

1: While in 2000 and even 2004, 160 mb for a game was a large size, given
modern connection speed this is no longer the case (sarah from pcs games is
120 mb already). Therefore, Bavisoft's games should be made perchiceable by
download instead of cd. This would stop dead all problems associated with
unfulfilled orders.

2: Bavisoft should obtain a working E-mail address and address any technical
support or sales related questions. While gameplay questions are able to be
handled on audiogames.net or similar forums or mailing lists, it is
essential to build trust and maintain a good relationship with their
customers that bavisoft make themselves contactable, as

Hi Ryan,

Are you sure you were not poisoned at the time? If you are poisoned
then it won't matter if any monsters are around or not. Your health
will eventually drop to 0 and Angela will drop dead from the poison.

Cheers!

It certainly seems like they have. From the Googling I have
done, it appears that games ordered from them take months to
arrive if they don't get lost in the post. Considering that
their E-mail address for sales inquiries is bouncing, I'll give
Computer Room Services UK a holler. If it turns out I can't run
the games on my machine, I'll just abandon the idea of purchasing
those games and think about other options. Maybe Sarah and the
Castle of Witchcraft and Wizardry in lieu of Chillingham and one
of the wild west pinball tables from Draconis instead of Grizzly

Re: [Audyssey] Is Bavisoft Still Around?

2010-12-16 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Tiffany,

Well, if you are serious about writing your own games there are
definitely a couple of routes you can take.

If you don't mind purchasing an accessible game engine like BGT Philip
Bennefall has been developing a general purpose game engine for the VI
community called BGT. The nice thing about BGT is that he has used an
off the shelf scripting language such as Angelscript and wrapped it
around a C++ engine that supports Microsoft Sapi, DirectX, etc
allowing you to focus on programming your games without worrying about
all the really low-level programming like handling things like audio,
input, and TTS support from scratch. For a totally new programmer BGT
is the best way to go if you are looking at any sort of introduction
to programming accessible games.

However, if you are interested in a general purpose programming
language like C++, Python, or Java and don't mind learning the nuts
and bolts of programming games from scratch there is an online
programming service I use
http://safari.oreilly.com
that is a commercial programming resource with hundreds of e-books on
anything and everything under the sun. If you pay for a subscription
for the Safari service you can litterally go from a self-taught
beginner to advanced programmer in a fairly short amount of time, and
unlike a classroom environment you can go at your own pace.

Cheers!

Hi Tiffany,

Have you tried my game Mysteries of the Ancients? It is in beta
testing right now, but it is a mixture of puzzle elements, treasure
hunting, as well as the ocational mythical monster or two to kill. You
can find it at
http://www.usagamesinteractive.com/mota.php

Cheers!

Cheers!

[Audyssey] Thank You Thomas

2010-12-16 Thread Tiffany Kim
Thanks Thomas! For all the useful information. I just downloaded the
beta of the BG Toolkit. Now, we'll just have to see whether I have
the patience for this. A friend tried to teach me Python once and I
managed to do the beginner exercise where you get hello world! to
show up on the screen, but that was the extent of my venture into
programming. I don't know what the laws are regarding making games,
but I was wondering if I could try to make accessible versions of the
ones I used to play as a kid with sighted help. If I do go through
with this, being an entrepreneur isn't my gameplan, just making games
that appeal to me and sharing them with the community if they are into
the genres I like, lol.
Things from the MECC (maybe it's the Learning Company now) were what I
enjoyed, like the Oregon Trail and the Amazon Trail. I remember the
developers who made Freedom Millionaire were going to make Freedom
Trail but as far as I know, that didn't ever pan out. So I'd like to
take a crack at a game simulating the westward movement someday.
Anyway, I'm hoping that I'll have more patience this time around, and
actually do more than Hello World!
I actually haven't tried the game you mentioned (Mysteries of the
Ancients?) I'll have to give it a shot. I have been trying various
ones all day to see which ones might suit. Soundoku (I found it
maddening to keep track of all those numbers in my head, still not
sure how everyone else manages it), BG Crossword (Lol it makes me
realize just how little knowledge I possess), and Mud Splat (a great
game, and a bit addicting but may get dull soon!). So any and all
game recommendations are most certainly welcome. Free or for pay, I
don't mind which, so long as they have some replay value and are a bit
more than hack and slash.

Re: [Audyssey] Is Bavisoft Still Around?

2010-12-16 Thread Bryan Peterson
You might look into BGT, BLastbay Game Toolkit in case you don't know. It's
only in Beta stages right now but it's shaping up to be a powerful
development utility. The language may seem complicated at first (and I've in
no way begun to master it), but once you've read te tutorial through
thoroughly a few times and started playing with it it's actually a lot of
fun. It basically takes the down and dirty nitty gritty stuff and does that
part for you. Basically what you have to do is tell it what you want to do
and how you want to do it. Philip Bennefall has been working on this for the
better part of a year. The utility will cst something even to develop free
games, unless of course you planned on making those particular titles open
source, but the prices are reasonable in my book. I own the light version,
which allows for the development of as many free itles as you wish. Then you
have the Single License version which will cost about a hundred bucks. That
allows you to develop one comercial title, though if it's a good one it'll
more than cover the 400 dollars cost of the Unlimited version, which of
course allows you to develop as many free or commercial games as your heart
desires. If you're at all interested you can check out www.blastbay.com to
download it and start playing with it. Just don't do what I tried to do and
jump right in and start trying to develop a game right off the bat LOL.

 Hello Everyone,
Well, as promised, I did write to the address that was given when I
clicked on Bavisoft's Paypal link. From the response, it sounds as
though someone is at the other end, but I was unsure about whether I
should go ahead and plunk down my money (all I found out was these
games will still work on my machine), not whether the company was
still able to process orders. See below.

I recently listened to Kelly John Sapergia's reviews of Grizzly Gulch

Hi, ok here is my gripe with the game pipe. I have got this really
anoying thing on my laptop for activating the f number keys. I've to
press a key at the bottom half of my keyboard then the actual number key
for it to work properly, so it makes killing spiders a bit of a tricky
thing. So I thought I'd have a go at getting a gamepad or joystick. My
question now though is what's the best one? the last time I saw a
joystick was the really old ones for nintendo and for the sonic games, and
how would a joystick work? It doesn't have enough keys, for example it
might work once to kill spider 1, but what happens when I reach 6, is it
just 6 presses? I'd be glad of any advice. Thanks from Lori

Cheers!

Hi Dark,

Cheers!

I tried writing to your sales address, but the E-mail bounced twice.
I found this address when I clicked on the Paypal button. I know the

Cheers!

Hi Muhammed,

Dark just posted the message a little while ago. You can't honestly
expect Bavisoft to respond that fast. I get loads of e-mails both
private and public and some times it takes me a day or two to actually
get to some of my messages. Therefore I wouldn't expect anything more
or less out of Bavisoft. Give them at least a day or two to see the
post and respond.

Smile.

Hi Tiffany,

Have you tried my game Mysteries of the Ancients? It is in beta
testing right now, but it is a mixture of puzzle elements, treasure
hunting, as well as the ocational mythical monster or two to kill. You
can find it at

Cheers!

See below.

To Whom This May Concern,
I recently listened to Kelly John Sapergia's reviews of Grizzly Gulch
and Chillingham, and was interested in ordering both of these games.
I tried writing to your sales address, but the E-mail bounced twice.
I found this address when I clicked on the Paypal button. I know the
games were developed back in 2004, so before I order, I would like to
know if they will run on a machine running Windows XP with service
pack III installed. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank
you.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Kim

www.computerroomservices.co.uk If that link isn't right just google

me out with buying the Bavisoft games. Both games are good if a little
lacking in places and repeating of puzzles gets a bit tedious, but sound

As I said in that message though, please don't reply to the topic

Hi Muhammed,

Dark just posted the message a little while ago. You can't honestly
expect Bavisoft to respond that fast. I get loads of e-mails both
private and public and some times it takes me a day or two to actually
get to some of my messages. Therefore I wouldn't expect anything more
or less out of Bavisoft. Give them at least a day or two to see the
post and respond.

Re: [Audyssey] Flash content question related to a game

2010-12-16 Thread Charles Rivard

Your message makes no sense to me. Here's why. You stated the following:

This week on my laptop, I was successfully able to play the demo for the new
and upcoming you don't Know Jack game at www.ydkj.com.
Comment: This is good. Sounds like it worked with no problems, right?
Then you say:

The flash came up just fine on my laptop, and I was able to answer the
questions. Not only that, I got to see the jack attack choices as they
popped up, but being that jaws was on I couldn't press the space bar to make
it work though.
Comment: Again, it sounds like it works as it should, but the only problem
was that the space bar would not behave as it should. Then you ask what
confuses me. Although what you wrote above indicates that the only thing
not working as it should was the space bar, you ask:

Anyone know why the flash content wouldn't show up, I have the latest flash,
set jaws to read flash, etc.
comment: The flash did come up, or you wouldn't have been able to read
questions and answer them. I don't get it.

Hi Charles,
I agree with you. Makes no sense. The flash is working, right? Then the
spacebar key doesn't work, got that? And the flash is not supposed to work?
Orin, not meaning to be rude or anything, but please, be spesific about what
you right. I figured out that you have a problem with your spacebar key, but
it still didn't make any sense.

come up when using IE on that, and I have no idea why. On my laptop i'm
using now, when I press the play link, the flash appears at the bottom of
the page. For some reason on my VM on the Mac clicking the play link seems
to do, well, nothing. Jaws doesn't see anything flash related. About the
space bar issue: What I was trying to say was the keyboard, jaws, and flash
don't seem to go well together. For example, the host tells you to hit one,
two, three or four depending on what your answer choices are, which the host
will read, making the game accessible. However I don't know how to get the
keyboard focused in the flash content, so I just click on the buttons for
the answers. Since the buttons are unlabled, and it seems that they move or
something, I sometimes click the wrong choice. Jack Attack, however,
requires keyboard. Whenever something comes up that matches a certain clue,
you have to hit the space bar and I have the problem as before with the
keyboard, basically focusing the flash content on it and have jaws on at
the same time.

Hi Charles,
I agree with you. Makes no sense. The flash is working, right? Then the
spacebar key doesn't work, got that? And the flash is not supposed to
work? Orin, not meaning to be rude or anything, but please, be spesific
about what you right. I figured out that you have a problem with your
spacebar key, but it still didn't make any sense.

Your message makes no sense to me. Here's why. You stated the
following:

This week on my laptop, I was successfully able to play the demo for the
new and upcoming you don't Know Jack game at www.ydkj.com.
Comment: This is good. Sounds like it worked with no problems, right?
Then you say:

The flash came up just fine on my laptop, and I was able to answer the
questions. Not only that, I got to see the jack attack choices as they
popped up, but being that jaws was on I couldn't press the space bar to
make it work though.
Comment: Again, it sounds like it works as it should, but the only
problem was that the space bar would not behave as it should. Then you
ask what confuses me. Although what you wrote above indicates that the
only thing not working as it should was the space bar, you ask:

Anyone know why the flash content wouldn't show up, I have the latest
flash, set jaws to read flash, etc.
comment: The flash did come up, or you wouldn't have been able to read
questions and answer them. I don't get it.

Re: [Audyssey] Response From Bavisoft To My Inquiry

2010-12-16 Thread Tiffany Kim
Hi Dark,
It would have been helpful to get something more substantive, I admit.
Since I didn't get anything like feel free to place an order, it
makes me wary, and thus, I have decided to move on to other prospecs,
if not tackling the daunting task of learning to create some games of
my own, lol.

Does anyone know of a thread where suggestions for the kinds of games
people actually would like to see are compiled? I have ideas for
making some that I played as a kid accessible, but I'm a bit of a
bookish type, so I'd end up making educational stuff and that,
frankly, would probably be research-intensive and not something that I
should tackle from the get-go. I saw the thread someone made about a
circus game, though I don't know the complexities of such an
undertaking, but if all else fails, I guess I can use that idea as a
learning exercise.

Yeah, got to be pretty linear and relatively straight forward because

2010-12-16 Thread dark
Thanks aprone, though I have a nasty feeling trans atlantic phone calls to
bavisoft could be rather expensive.

You might send the number to thomas ward if he'd considder phoning them in
his capacity as audeasy co list owner, and as a developer himself.

I have actually phoned those audio games developers in the Uk, I phoned
azabat software to get their demo cd so that I could write game reviews, and
phoned Gamevial just for general discussion of their web based games.

My next targit, is to see if i can eerbash some sense into the rnib and
convince them that there is more to audio games than azabat and their
talking crosswords and board games (which I rather think are somewhat
overpriced), and not all visually impared people are over the age of sixty.

Given that the rnib are intrinsically stupid and my 20 year long war to get
them to record a wider variety of books has not seen too much success, this
is probably a doomed enterprise, but I can at least try.

Oh and yes, I did first phone the rnib with a book request at the age of 7
for Douglas Hill's novel the caves of Klydor a sequal to exiles of colsec
which they'd recorded in 1979 (three years before I was born and ten years
before I phoned them).

they did finally! record the book in 2009. It'll be interesting to see if it
takes them another 20 years to do the last in the trilogy.

Re: [Audyssey] Response From Bavisoft To My Inquiry

2010-12-16 Thread dark

Hi tiffany,

As far as bavisoft go I really can't blame you, and in fact sad to say I
think your making the right decision, though hopefully at least bavisoft
will come to the table and help sort this situation out, so your enquirary
might have done some good afterall.

for game creation, might i suggest you employ a slightly different approach.

Rather than starting with the i'm going to make game X idea, start by
looking into learning the programming language you wish to use, perhaps
writing some short example games to teach you basic techniques and help your
practice, then, start on design.

There is a fantastic tutorial on the page for bgt which goes into many basic
principle of programming with bgt itself, which is expressly designed for
creating audio games and cuts out many of the less game related details
which it is usually necessary to lay as foundations before creating
something.

This is just my suggestion based on what I know of programming.

I heard the tutorial, and attempted a short amount of scripting, but decided
that trying to write a phd thesis and learn programming at the same time was
not a good idea at all, - even aside from practicing my singing, being
in stage performances, working for audiogames.net, doing tabletop rp and all
the other stuff I have going on.

I do intend to come back to game programming later though when perhaps I
don't have as many commitments, - ie, when my phd is finished.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

Thanks for letting me know ron.

Please keep us posted as far as updates go so that I can alter the link on
audiogames.net.

While truckz wasn't personally my thing as a game, i could appreciate the
work that had gone into it and could see it was an absorbing and well put
together project, so I'd be glad if it was stil running.

Yes the original web site for we truckers is going to shut down on Jan 31,
2011.
But there's a project to get it back up and running under the following
web page

http://www.truckingsim.com
So go to that address for up dates.

I knew they were in mythology. But since you said you couldn't find
anything in the code to explain that, I wasn't sure whether my
assumptions were right.

[Audyssey] Programming Games was Re: Response From Bavisoft To My Inquiry

2010-12-16 Thread Kelly Sapergia

Hi Tiffany,

I agree with Dark. I think it's best to learn and experiment with a
programming language, or anything for that matter, before starting to work
on a major project. For a long time now, I've been interested in writing
text adventure games (just for myself), but it took awhile before I found a
language I liked to code in. With that in mind, I also think it's always
good to look at as much source code as possible to see how an author
programs something in a certain way.

Hope this helps.

Yours Sincerely,
Kelly John Sapergia

No problem.
I just wished that they would add sound effects.
I think that the sound effects that Jim Kitchen has in his trucking game
would bring the the online version to life for both the blind drivers and
the sighted alike.
