Thanks Dennis, I did not know that. I usually have had to do a recover after a crash from the backup or the previous backup in the same directory as the original .ddb file, and in fact I have had to do that at least twice in the last week with this board, which is probably why I am in paranoid

Brian, The short version of the answer is neither, the land pattern is the pad, and hence it is 0.27mm. Where in the spec did you get the 0.27mm number? I looked at pages 59 and 60 of the spec and saw that the 90 ball beast actually wants a 0.33mm pad diameter according to Note 2 on page 60.
