I came to following observations:
1. With FF lens and K1 in 1:1 cropmode makes little sense as indicated
by others.
2. With APS-C lens and K1 in 1:1 cropmode, there can be the advantage
of using the whole image circle.
3. However, many lenses do not offer the whole image circle to the

Now for K1,I use often the Sigma 28-105/2.8-4 that I bought long ago for
my Z-1.
I hope Sigma will make their 24-105 available for Pentax, and I am very
curious how the IQ of that lens would be compared to Pentax 28-105 and
often, than earlier cameras but it still gives up eventually.

image files, now, with K1, this has come to an end.
When reading metadata from DNG files from my K5 (with PhotoMe), I can
see the the manufacturer notes that inform a.o. the shutter count and
the lens identification codes.

In my LR4, while cropping around and hitting exactly 2x3, the word
custom changes to 2x3 in the right panel aspect indication, the
moment that is valid.

some very nice macro's with it (it has a macro switch for 200-300mm) It
is bulky but supprisingly light weight.

I have lot of film material (negatives and slides) that I want to
convert to digital.
I have a good Minolta film scanner, at that time I paid more for it than
a K20D costs :-). It delivers good quality but it takes far to much time
to be used on larger quantities of

scanner will undoubtedly do a better job, and I doubt that you'd spend any
more time at it. The setup here has to be quite time consuming.

The two flasguns were triggered at a different moment in time, one at
the leading edge of the sync pulse and the second at the trailing edge
(this is in fact rear curtain sync)
In this way the light output of each gun could be measured and
controlled independently.
Right! That's the way I do it with simple K-Bayonet lenses. Works
perfectly for me (K10D and DS)

One lens only? I would take the widest I have: the 18-55 kitlens, I can
always crop later but never expend! Missing an opportunity is much
worse for me than not having the best optical quality
