I finally got around to mentioning ecopath on a few
newsgroups and we have picked up a few new people...
At present the list is about a year old and consists of
occasional discussion periods with me (jeff) providing
constant posts on different topics. Two topics coming up are
cooking
Simple Living
One of my favorite ways to view the world is provided by
Permaculture. It is a philosophy that can grow and move towards
sustainability. Although, at times i think some ideas have
stopped growing and have not reached out to urban dwellers
effectively. Many Permaculture teachers
and not
assume they were a master.
The point is: we are both master and student. We are both knowledgable
and ignorant. We should question everyone and expect everyone
to question us. We are all teachers and we are all students.
I know Jeff likes the topics of communication and language,

I would probably avoid the cinder block method, myself. For one thing, I don't
know what they're actually made of, or if there may be some contaminants from
the firing process. If you're interested in going with a preformed block, I'd
suggest looking into something like Faswall, which

feet high and went up in just a few minutes. The whole process
was so easy i wonder why we have not done this in the past. The
only question now is why did we do it. The original excuse was

The use of charcoal isn't discussed in most eco oriented
magazines for some reason. I think it is viewed as too much
work and not ecological. Some energy is lost when going from
wood to charcoal and the process does require a lot of
wood handling.
This begs the question; why do some cultures

1. Birds can be kept away from fruit by spraying the
