If you've got the 48mm 200B hubs I'm pretty sure the ball joints will past
their use by date as the symptoms are exactly the same as mine and a few
other's I've seen. You'll find that the contact will happen under heavy
breaking as well as bumps if the ball joints are stuffed. This also

different - however I'd be looking at either the timing chain and tensioner
if it's at the top front of the engine, or if it a deeper sounding banging

This sounds very much like the Nizpro 1600 that's regularly at Sandown, it
puts out 300 plus hp and is very quick. There has been a huge amount of work
go into the suspension on that car, I don't think I saw a few years ago now
but there aren't any original bits on it. The only thing wrong with

It should have a Z18ET in it, it's about the closest thing to a 510 that
Nissan made and these were what Nissan raced at Bathurst in the early 80's
(first 100 mph lap by George Fury) if you're old enough to remember.
