You're trying to load a PCB file, as the menu indicates. That is not the
correct thing to do.
You want to first add the external netlist from Orcad (using the tango
format) to the Protel DDB. Click on the DDB name or documents folder in
Protel 's explorer. Use the file import and bring in the net

Well if you find yourself doing this laborious process over and over, the

In 99SE (I think that's what you said you were using) I used to have channel

I think Altium's protection is decent. It's not a dongle, those break at the
worst times. I used to work in a place that had a bunch of PowerPCB seats

It's not a timed node locked FlexLM lock which locks it down to one machine.

I don't remember the fix, but I do remember it being mentioned on this forum
a couple years ago. Check the archives. Maybe someone that had to deal with
the problem at the time will chime in.

You have to close the file first. It will not put the delete selection on
that popup window unless the file is closed.

Maybe Altium could implement a few more global dialog boxes for us to have
high level, quick functionality like the T,I,P box. (Component Text Position
is what it's really called)
If there were the same quick access to the stuff people REALLY miss from
99SE, that might solve a lot of support probl
Yes, it's weak in some areas but in other areas there have been great
improvements. For example the ECO process now allows me to remove an entire
set of commands which was never before possible in 99SE. I will often add
pads to ground, usually mounting tabs for potentiometers, and they aren't
part
It works in 2004. Have you tried SP3??

You could have accepted it and then sold it on this list for $500. There are
other people that want it and they won't be getting a free one, so 1/2 price
is a good deal.
