The 1971 VW 1302 had a flat windshield. On 8/1/71 the 1972 model year's Model
1303 was introduced with reinforced cowl and curved windshield. Both were
marketed in the US as the Super Beetle. Right?

Any reason not to interrupt the ground (-), rather than interrupt the hot
(+) side? Enquiring minds want to know.
