I don't know if you're soliciting votes, but it would be a huge
help if the Save As dialog remembered the last location, as the
bug suggests. I hit this nearly every time I save a file.

And neither a modifier-click nor a help key over the menu is very
discoverable. Tooltips would be discoverable, but they'd get in the
way as you explore the menu system.

One issue is that it makes for an awfully long menu (see screenshot
attached to the bug). Probably some of the items in it should be
moved to a submenu -- e.g. move everything that was previously in
Filters-Colors to Colors-Filters? Please post any suggestions
here or in the bug.

the window and back in. I've looked for places to disable it, but
I don't see anything about the tab key in the Keyboard Shortcuts
window or in menurc where other key bindings are controlled.

might have misunderstood this step (I definitely don't follow the
comment about PS not letting you edit -- maybe that's a PS issue)
but it sounds like if you did a Paste as New in gimp, you wouldn't
need to create a new canvas or figure out any dimensions.

plug-ins installed for users (especially Windows users) who don't
